Activity 5: Create and Publish Multimedia using Blog

 

What is multimedia?

Multimedia is a form of communication that uses a combination of different content forms such as text, audio, images, animations or video into a single interactive presentation.

My Understanding about Multimedia

Multimedia is a use of variety of artistic or communicative media. Examples of multimedia are television, radio, internet, film, games, music, tutorial and entertainment. As humans, we cannot be far from multimedia because it is very important for many purposes and used in many fields. Our works becomes fast and easier with the use of technology. Online platforms also help us to communicate and reach others without limits.

I used multimedia to share my works, talents and content creations with the use of social media platforms. Also, I used it to gather some new information.

YouTube: I used YouTube for watching and sharing videos. Personally, me as a student it is very beneficial for me to make our lessons more understandable and enjoyable because it is an easy way to share information which is related to our lesson. I also watch tutorial in earning coins by playing games.

Facebook: I created a facebook account for me to easily share a picture and video links to form support from my FB friends. In my facebook account, I also do posts of photography and use it to communicate with family, relatives and friends.

TikTok: I created a TikTok account for me for creating, sharing and discovering short videos. I used this app to express my self through singing, dancing, comedy and lip- syncing.

What do I think is the significance of using multimedia?

In our generation, nowadays people are more intended to use multimedia because it makes life more easier. Almost everyone of us has gadgets like cellphones, computers, laptop, and tablets that used to take pictures, making videos, watching movies, texting and calling, and playing games that made us happy. Multimedia is significant in our lives because it is a very effective way to learn and me as a student it help me retain the information I have learned. It can also be used to create visuals for learning tools such as powerpoint presentations, websites and blogs.

But here's important, most of us are connected to the internet via laptop, mobile phone, and other electronic gadgets. Behind this technology, there is a risk that everyone should be aware of. We could be at risk or scam, bullying and illegal activities if we will not take precautions in using internet. We should learn online safety, security and netiquette while using the internet.
